Voila-I got what seems to be the fuel pump priming sound and also the low fuel light on the dash is lit. So then I flipped the plug 180°, And put them back in. I'd say three out of four with the right colors/ positions is close enough to be a match.īecause it looked like it was possible that the wires pulled out of the plug in the order that they were in it – I just tried to push them back in. In number three I noted, before I closed it up – orange/ yellow. In positions 4&2 I have black (but with a green stripe). I'm guessing the schematic is not detailed enough to show the fuel pump side of the equation which is definitely red white blue black. Essentially your observations correspond with mine for the wiring harness side of the diagram. Like you, I am seasoned and slow which probably accounts for getting myself into this predicament. The fuel pump makes sure the gas gets to the right place. The gas has to go through a hose, which is also called the fuel line. The fuel pump moves gas from the tank to the engine.
